Field Trial Reports of TurboB® and Enterovet®

Case 1:

Locality: El-Beheira governorate, Egypt

Type of birds: Broiler chickens

Breed: Cobb

Total No: 18000 bird divided into 3 barns (6000 birds each)

Age: 29 days

Mortality rate: 200 birds daily.

Clinical signs: Respiratory signs (Nasal and ocular discharge, coughing and sneezing) and enteric manifestation (greenish brownish diarrhea).

Body weight: 1100 gm/bird

Daily feed intake: 100 gm/bird

PM lesions: Petechial hemorrhages on proventriculaus, Lymphocytic ulcers along the intestinal tract, Respiratory lesions in the form of congestive and catarrhal tracheitis, caseated plug in tracheal bifurcation, pneumonia, fibrinous pericarditis, perihepatitis and airsacculitis.

Diagnosis:

vvNDV genotype VII (viscerotropic form) mixed with H9N2 infection (confirmed by rRT-PCR) and CCRD

Control

TurboB® 1 ml/10 L and Enterovet® 1 ml/15 L (drinking water) continuously for 72 hours.

After TurboB® and Enterovet® treatment:

Mortality rate: decreased to 80 birds daily.

Clinical signs and PM lesions: greenish diarrhea and respiratory signs significantly decreased.

Body weight: 1500 gm/bird

Daily feed intake: 140 gm/bird

Case 2:

Locality: El-Beheira governorate, Egypt

Type of birds: Broiler chickens

Breed: Arbor Acres

Total No: 15000 bird divided into 3 barns (5000 birds each)

Age: 27 days

Mortality rate: 250 birds daily.

Clinical signs: Respiratory signs (Nasal and ocular discharge, coughing and sneezing) and enteric manifestation (greenish brownish diarrhea).

Body weight: 1000 gm/bird

Daily feed intake: 85 gm/bird

PM lesions: Petechial hemorrhages on proventriculaus, Lymphocytic ulcers along the intestinal tract, Respiratory lesions in the form of congestive and catarrhal tracheitis, caseated plug in tracheal bifurcation, pneumonia, fibrinous pericarditis, perihepatitis and airsacculitis.

Case 3:

Locality: El-Beheira governorate, Egypt

Type of birds: Broiler chickens

Breed: Ross

Total No: 9000 bird divided into 2 barns (4500 birds each)

Age: 29 days

Mortality rate: 50 birds daily.

Clinical signs: Respiratory signs (Nasal and ocular discharge, coughing and sneezing).

Body weight: 1100 gm/bird

Daily feed intake: 90 gm/bird

PM lesions: Respiratory lesions in the form of congestive and catarrhal tracheitis, caseated plug in tracheal bifurcation, and pneumonia.

Diagnosis:

AI (H9N2) infection (confirmed by rRT-PCR)

Control

TurboB® 1 ml/10 L and Enterovet® 1 ml/15 L (drinking water) continuously for 48 hours.

After TurboB® and Enterovet® treatment:

Mortality rate: decreased to 7 birds daily.

Clinical signs and PM lesions: respiratory signs significantly decreased.

Body weight: 1400 gm/bird

Daily feed intake: 130 gm/bird

Total mortality rate (per cycle): 2.7%

Average body weight: 2250 gm

FCR: 1.45
